For your Monday Motivation on Honeybee Joyous this week, I'm sharing some of my favorite inspiring YouTube videos. | BLOGMAS DAY 18: MONDAY MOTIVATION — VIDEOS TO INSPIRE YOU | HONEYBEE JOYOUS

I’ve already talked about some of my favorite YouTube channels (and added an extra one to the list in this post), but I wanted to show you guys some awesome videos that may not have made the list. I don’t really follow any touchy feely, self-help people, but there are still some videos I’ve seen that can be really inspiring and motivating, which is what I’m sharing today.

Your relationship with your phone

This video was really inspiring to me because even though I spend a lot of time online, my whole income isn’t based around my online presence like it is for Qcknd, the YouTuber who made this video. It’s pretty long but it’s very good and it made me think a lot about how I use my time on the internet and how I can make that time better for my wellbeing.

My favorite thing I learned from this video was that I look at my phone way less when I turn the ringtone on. She suggested this and I thought it was silly, but I realize so much of the time I spend checking my phone is just because I’m not sure if I have any new notifications or not. If I turn on the sound, I check it a lot less because I know exactly when I get a notification.

Business/productivity

I love Alexis and I love goal setting (as you can see here, here, and here!) so obviously I love this video. I’m all about new techniques for setting goals and I love how Alexis is always super practical and gives real advice that always inspires me to get to work.

I mentioned Valeria in my post about my favorite YouTubers. I discovered her because I stumbled upon her video about tips for posing in Instagram photos. I watched this video today and wow was it inspiring for me when I’m thinking about my blog and social media! She gives real, practical advice for growing your following and doesn’t mess around when talking about how much patience and dedication it takes. This video really made me want to get down to business and focus more on my Instagram!

This video is about four years old, but it’s one I keep coming back to. Ze Frank was one of the earliest online video content creators and while I don’t know what he’s up to now, I often find myself going back to some of his videos because he really put a lot of good advice out there, even though most of his content was silly and lighthearted. This video is about how to get yourself “unstuck” in the writing process, but it really can be applied to so many things beyond just writing. I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re ever feeling “stuck.”

Self love

Watching Aly’s 13 body types series really helped me rethink the way I looked at myself in the mirror. So much advice about fashion and beauty tries to pin women into just a couple of neat little boxes, but there’s such a wide range of body types that’s a little ridiculous. While this video is meant to be informative, not inspiring, redefining the way you think about women’s body types can be so empowering and really change your perspective.

Lastly, I’d like to share this video I watched today from Lindsay Marie. I recently found her channel and I’ve been loving watching her videos because she’s always so bright and fun and shares great tips and affordable fashion ideas. She posted this video about how she had a really rough childhood and the ways that she overcame that to become accomplished and happy in her life. It was amazingly inspiring to watch because I can’t imagine turning my life around like that.
