I’m Emily and I’m a grad student with a passion for study tips, productivity advice, organization hacks, and more. I’m a future teacher, uncompromising optimist, and aspiring productivity guru. Stick around and let’s be friends! I read and respond to every comment on every post.
Hey there! My name is Emily and I’m excited to share this blog with you. I’m a grad student at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In undergrad I also attended W&M and received a B.A. in 2018 with a double major in English and Gender, Sexuality, Women’s Studies. I’m currently working on my Masters in Elementary Education with a dual endorsement in English as a Second Language Education, and I’ll be graduating in 2019. On campus I’m the Hall Director of a residence hall and I spend a lot of time walking back and forth to the School of Ed. Off campus, I have a job working in childcare and I love to spend my free time making art and enjoying the company of my friends.
I’ve always loved creating, writing, and productivity and I started this blog in 2015 to be a designated space for these hobbies and to keep me focused on positivity and all of the wonderful things in life I am so blessed to enjoy.
The name “Honeybee Joyous” is two things to me:
- A combination of two of the happiest words I can think of.
- A gentle command: “Honey, be joyous” reminding me to stay positive.
For me, Honeybee Joyous is a place where I can delight in my creative side and build a community. I hope it can be the same for you: a place to indulge in the things that make you happy and connect with like-minded people. You can expect to see a wide range of posts: organizing, creativity, study tips, DIYs, lifestyle, etc.
My blog is still small and growing, so it’s easy to get in touch through whatever channel you prefer.
I’d love to hear from you!
